Cavite State University held their 15th Journalism Seminar in Indang Cavite on October 01, 2015 with the theme ‘’Iba 'To: Paglalakbay sa Mas Malawak na Mundo ng Dyornalismo”
Last October 01, 2015, the 15th Journalism Seminar that was organized by the 4th year Bachelor of Arts in Journalism students batch 2015 – 2016 was held at the Cavite States University Gymnasium, Indang , Cavite. The Seminar officially started at 8 am with the registration of all the participants.
The CvSU Chorale Ensemble lead the National Anthem and the Doxology followed by an opening remarks given by Dr. Lynn G. Penales, Dean of College of Arts and Sciences with an inspirational message from Mr. Manny Romeroso, Chairman of Department of Languages and Mass Communication. The event was made even livelier by the chosen masters of the ceremony, Jean Camille Sta. Cruz and Xian Lerry Llozares.
The event showcased different speakers that offers the participant’s added knowledge on different fields. One of the speakers were Mr. Jefferson Caparas, a talented journalist, worked for GMA 7's IMBESTIGADOR, presently an EMT/Reporter for RESCUE 5, and hosts a program in Aksyon TV together with other correspondents in TV 5. And his subject was “Matalinong Pagbuo ng Konsepto Para sa Mga Komprehensibong Pag-uulat ng Mga Sensitibong Balita”. This was followed by Mr. Albert Magcamit, an imaginative and jovial person currently a video editor at GMA Network Inc., working for Born To Be Wild, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, and Brigada. And he presented his subject themed as “Angkop at Mahusay na Editing: Mahalagang Aspeto sa Paglikha ng mga Natatanging Eksena at Kabuuan ng Isang Programa”. Next in line was Mr. Cheeno Marlo Sayuno One-time Palanca Awardee, an author of award-winning short stories for children that showcase Filipino indigenous culture, and is also the pride of our alma mater and he presented “Makulay na Panitik Para sa Pagsasalaysay ng Mga Kwentong Pambata” to the participants.
The event also featured Ms. Evangeline Ajero, currently the youngest member of the newsroom in DZRH News. She goes on-air in her segment in the morning program Magandang Umaga Pilipinas. A product of Cavite State University with her topic entitled “Boses at Prinsipyo Para sa Matalinong Pagtatalakay ng mga Isyung Panlipunan Para sa mga Tagapakinig ng Radyo”. And last but not the least, they had Dani Hernandez, currently an ab journalism student, also launch his book entitled “ Ang maglandi ay di biro”.
The event was made successful by the help of all the 4th year journalism students and of course with the support of their journalism advisers, Mrs.. Racquel Agustin and Mrs. Bonalyn Caisip. One of their sponsors, McDonalds also provided mascots and even had a production number in addition to the entertainment of the event.
Iba 'To: Paglalakbay sa Mas Malawak na Mundo ng Dyornalismo, 15th Journalism Seminar ended at around 5 o’clock in the afternoon together with the peaceful distribution of the participants certificates.
